Crew Resource Management

CRMSIM

Crew Resource Management (CRM) training seeks to assure the effective functioning of aircraft crew members through the timely and proficient use of all available resources (FAA 1989).

The goal is safe and efficient flight.

Central to the productive functioning of a crew are effective communications and a shared and understood view as to what constitutes appropriate behaviour. The key objective is to influence attitudes and practices with a view to improving and sustaining overall communications in decision making.

The basis of CRM Programmes has been consistent with programmes that have been used in management development training. Teaching of managerial styles, interpersonal communications, self assessment and organizational influences on behaviour have academic roots in social, industrial and clinical, psychology as well as sociology and various schools of business. CRM has spread rapidly and has been accepted with enthusiasm.

We offer both Initial CRM & refresher courses - which one is for you?
