Yes. Our Simulator is certified by the South African Civil Aviation Authority for Instrument Currency and Instrument Rating Renewals. If you are type rating on a King Air B200, B90, B300 series or B1900, you can renew your IF rating every year on our device. If you are not type rated on the abovementioned aircraft, our device can be used every 24 months for the purpose of renewing your instrument rating.

Please note: Instrument Ratings/License Renewals are not part of our turbine type rating courses.

VAT Exemption?

The South African Revenue Service provides Vat vendors with clear instructions on who can and cannot be charged Vat.

As a foreign individual attending our courses, you cannot be exempted for Vat unless the Aviation company that you are employed with provides us with a letter (on company letterhead with directors listed and company registration number) advising us that you are employed full time with the company and that you are being sent to South Africa to attend a course at 43 Advanced Training.

It is important to note that Vat Exempt payments for a course must be made by the Aviation Company responsible for their employees training account as Vat laws in South Africa prohibit payment from private individuals attending courses on the behest of the aviation business.
